iSekurity Protection Service FAQs

How does this new identity theft protection service, iSekurity, differ from NWFCU’s pervious service, Identity Theft Shield?
iSekurity provides the full spectrum of identity theft protection with tools to deter the crime and credit restoration assistance but unlike ID Theft Shield, iSekurity goes further and attacks identity theft at its source, the criminal. If and when identity theft occurs, iSekurity strikes back by launching an aggressive criminal investigation and working to recover the victim’s financial losses with up to $25,000 of insurance coverage for restoration costs, legal defense expenses and lost wages.

Why doesn’t iSekurity have a $1 Million Service Guarantee like some providers?
ISekurity actually carries a $2 Million Limit of Liability - the reason iSekurity doesn’t advertise this is because iSekurity feels it misleads customers.  Other companies call it a service guarantee making it appear as though if you have your identity stolen…you get $1 million. That is not true. The service guarantee or limit of liability only protects the company from gross negligence.  Any losses you incur from gross negligence on behalf of the company protecting you will be covered.
