e-LERT Descriptions
Account Activity e-LERTs
- Automated Withdrawal Notice
An automated withdrawal is any electronic payment or transfer deducted from your NWFCU account and sent to another financial institution or company via the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network. Automated withdrawals are often used to pay health club dues, credit cards, utilities, insurance premiums, homeowner association fees and other routine, recurring expenses. This e-LERT will notify you that your automated payment has been processed.
- Checking Overdrafts or Returned Checks Notice
In the event of a checking account overdraft or a returned check or ACH, this e-LERT will immediately advise you to check your account. For your records, a detailed overdraft protection notice will be sent to your address of record.
- Direct Deposit Notice
Direct deposits are any electronic deposits you authorize to have sent to your NWFCU account(s). They include your paycheck, retirement annuity, tax refunds, social security payments and more. This e-LERT will let you know that your direct deposit funds have been added to your account.
- Low Checking Account Balance
Select your checking account balance threshold and when your balance drops below that amount, we will automatically send you an e-LERT. To maintain security, the e-LERT will not contain specific account identification information.
- Online Banking Message Waiting
Members often overlook their NWLink Internet Banking eMessages. These messages contain important notices regarding NWLink transactions, such as transaction failures, bill payment issues, or over-limit electronic transfer warnings. To maintain security, the e-LERT will not contain specific account identification information. It will only state that we have posted an important NWLink eMessage and offer a link to log on so you can easily retrieve your message(s).
Members-Only e-LERTs
- News Wire
One of the key features which distinguish credit unions from banks is the special perks we extend to our members to help save money and reward loyalty. While our website and newsletter always share the latest offers, this e-LERT will bring the news directly to your inbox, often before other members learn/read of it.
- Financial Seminars
From basic budgeting to strategies to help you build your wealth; buying your first home to sending your first born off to college, we offer numerous free financial seminars and events throughout the year. Rather than check with us, let us advise you of our next educational session. This e-LERT will give you a heads up when a new seminar is scheduled.
- Certificate, Savings & Loan Rates
Our basic savings and loan rates are subject to change monthly while higher-yield certificate rates fluctuate weekly. If you’re in savings mode or shopping loan rates, you’ll want to enroll in this e-LERT to advise you when our newest rates are available.
- Fraud Scams
Fraud and identity theft are on the rise. The fraud scams e-LERT will help you keep on top of the newest ways criminals are attempting to steal personal information. This e-LERT will immediately advise you when we have posted a new warning on the Fraud Alerts section of our website.
- Auto Auction
If you’re in the market for a quality pre-owned auto, you’ll want to keep tabs on our inventory of cars, trucks, SUVs and crossovers available for sale by private online bid. Often low-mileage off-lease automobiles with good residual value, our auction site provides descriptions and photos to help you decide if you’d like to place a bid. Let us bring our car lot to you with this e-LERT notifying you that a auto has been added.
