U.S. Savings Bonds
NWFCU sells and redeems Series I and EE U.S. Savings Bonds.
Series I and EE Bonds are available in $50-$5,000 denominations and can be purchased at any walk-in branch or by mail through our Call Center.
With U.S. Savings Bonds you don't need a large initial investment to get started, they can also be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed and any interest earned is deferred until the bond is redeemed. However, should the need arise, your investment can be redeemed after one year with a three month interest penalty fee.
U.S. Savings Bond-of-the-Month Plan
Our Bond-of-the-Month Plan is a convenient way to save for the future and can be set up with a simple reoccurring transfer from a share savings or checking account. You choose the denomination and we'll send the bonds directly to you.
