CARES Act Resources
The CARES Act Economic Relief Plan provides a number of measures designed to support individuals and businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are a few of the ways the law may impact you and your accounts:
Small Business Provisions >LEARN MORE - The Economic Injury Disaster Loan as well as the Paycheck Protection Program were established to provide relief for small business owners.
As part of the federal stimulus package approved in December 2020, the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) has once again been made available. This SBA funded loan is available to both first-time qualified borrowers as well as businesses that previously received a PPP loan.
Small businesses* may apply for a "Second Draw" loan, provided they have 300 or fewer employees and can demonstrate they experienced a 25% decline in gross receipts for any quarter in 2020 as compared to the same quarter in 2019. The maximum loan amount is $2 million; actual loan amounts will be based on applicant's payroll.
Retirement Account Distribution Provisions >LEARN MORE - The 10 percent early withdrawal penalty will be waived on retirement account distributions for taxpayers under age 59 1/2 who face financial challenges due to the virus. The law also waives required minimum distribution rules for certain retirement plans.
Economic Impact Payments - A second round of impact payments will be sent to eligible taxpayers. The IRS emphasizes that there is no action required by eligible individuals to receive this second payment. Tax filers with adjusted gross income in 2019 up to $75,000 for individuals and up to $150,000 for married couples filing joint returns will receive the full payment. For details on how these amounts decrease for higher incomes, visit the IRS newsroom regarding economic impact payments.

Branch Availability and Hours
For your safety and the safety of others, masks are currently required in branches. While we do not require appointments to visit our branches, calling ahead to make an appointment will help us plan for your visit and manage branch occupancy levels to ensure the safety of our members and staff.
To make an appointment at a branch call:

- Masks and Social Distancing: Federal and CDC guidelines recommend that masks be worn in public spaces to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. In Maryland and Virginia, masks are required in public places. Our staff in branches are wearing masks and we ask that you do the same if you come in for an appointment. We also encourage you to maintain a distance of 6 feet of space between yourself and others when you visit.
