What are the important dates regarding my credit and debit card?

When will I get my new credit card?

Your new credit card will arrive between 4/24-5/7.  You can pre-activate and set a PIN for new credit card when it arrives so you are ready to use your new card on 5/17.

When will I get my new debit card?

Your new debit card will arrive between 5/24-6/9

When will I get my new ATM card?

Your new ATM card will arrive between 5/24-6/9

When will my current credit card stop working?

5/17/2021, be sure to activate and start using your new credit card on this date.

When will my current debit and ATM card stop working?

6/21/2021, be sure to activate, set your PIN and starting using your new debit and/or ATM card on June 7th.

When can I activate my new credit card?

You can pre-activate and set a PIN for new credit card when it arrives so you are ready to use your new card on 5/17.

When can I activate my new debit/ATM card?

You can activate, set your PIN and starting using your new debit and/or ATM card(s) on June 7th. Your current debit and/or ATM card will stop working on June 21st.

Can I keep my current PIN?

Yes, you can select any customized PIN that you wish to use.  You will just need to enter your preferred PIN during card activation. 

Where was my card sent?

Your card will be mailed to your mailing address on file.


Recurring /Card-on-File Payments and Digital Wallets

What happens to my recurring payments, card-on-file, subscriptions?

Your recurring payments and online subscriptions will need to be updated with your new card information. Please log-in to websites (Amazon, Netflix, and other online merchants) that store your card-on-file and update your payment method.

Will I need to set up my cards again in my digital wallet?

Yes, you can also do this in the new CardControl+ app which will provision your new card for you without needing to enter your card information. The new CardControl+ app will be available on June 21st.


Payments and Statements

How do I see my credit card eStatements?

These will now be available in Online Banking under eDocs.

How do I sign up eStatements? 

You can sign up for eStatements in Online Banking.

Will my automatic payment still occur?

Yes, if your payment was set up with NWFCU it will still occur as scheduled.  If your recurring payment to your Northwest credit card was set up by another financial institution please provide them with your new credit card information.  

What is the new credit card payment address?

The new credit card payment address is:  PO Box 4200, Woburn, MA 01888-4196

How to make payments?

You may make your credit card payments via Online Banking, through our new CardControl+ app when it becomes available on June 21 from Google Play and the App Store, by mailing your payment to PO Box 4200, Woburn, MA 01888-4196 or by calling 844-709-8900.

Will my interest rate change for my new Visa credit card?

No, your interest rate is not impacted by this change.

Will my credit card payment date change?

No, your payment date will stay the same. 


Features and Benefits

How do I download the new CardControl+ app?

You can download the new CardControl+ app from the App Store or Google Play beginning June 21.

What are the new features of my credit card?

Your new card will continue to be contactless and you’ll enjoy these other features and benefits.

Will my benefits change?

You will not lose any benefits; however, you are gaining new benefits with your new Visa card. (Consumer Benefits, Business Benefits)


General Questions

Will my current travel memos carry over to my new card?

Yes, they will carry over.  You will also be able to set up travel memos in Online Banking starting on May 17th.

Will I keep my current NOW REWARDS points?

Yes, they will carry over to your new account.  You can view your point balance in Online Banking.

Will the CardControl app still work?

No, it will stop working after 5/14 for credit and 6/18 for debit. The new CardControl+ app will launch on 6/21 with more features and benefits.
