What Has Changed - Mobile Banking App with Mobile Deposit*

Your User ID and Password remain the same.

Please delete your existing mobile app and download the NWFCU Mobile Banking App. Once the Northwest Federal App installation has been completed, you will have the same access and control of your accounts. The look, feel and functionality will remain the same.

Important Information

Your membership account number remains the same, as well as any loan, checking and savings account numbers.

  • Direct Deposit, Automatic bill payments and withdrawals –  these transactions will continue to take place as scheduled. 
  • 24/7 Account Access – same nationwide access to branches and free ATMs, plus:
    • Debit Cards* – continue to access your accounts with the same secure password. 
    • Online Banking – your Username and secure password remain the same.
    • Bill Pay – if you currently use our convenient online Bill Pay service, all payee information, transactions and history remain the same.
    • Telephone Banking – the phone number and your secure password remain the same.
  • Existing loans – your loan number, terms and agreement remain the same, in addition to online and mobile banking access.

Why did the Credit Union change its name?
Combining our divisions under one name and one brand enables Northwest Federal Credit Union to provide the same valuable financial products and services using the same look and feel to all of our members.

What are you doing with my account information? Will everything be transferred over to Northwest Federal?
The Credit Union has been operating as a division of Northwest Federal Credit Union since 2012. Your accounts have been maintained by Northwest Federal and will remain the same. You will continue to have the same account access, with your secure User ID and passwords.

Are my deposits still federally insured?
Yes. Your deposits remain federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) to at least $250,000. For more information, click here. 

Am I still a member of the credit union?
Yes. Your membership with Northwest Federal Credit Union is still in place and we thank you for your membership. You can continue to enjoy all the great services and benefits you currently have, and more! Learn about us.

How will I access my accounts?
Your account number and secure passwords remain the same. You have the same nationwide access to free CO-OP Shared BranchesSM and ATMs, in addition to the same convenient eBanking services. Other options for account access include debit cards, checks, and toll-free phone banking.

Does this change affect my debit and credit cards?
No. Your debit card will continue to access your accounts with your current secure PIN at 33,000+ ATMs nationwide. Your credit card remains open with the same account number, credit limit and outstanding balance.

What changes will I see with my Online Banking and Bill Pay?
The look, feel, and functionality of your Online Banking and Bill Pay will all remain the same. The Northwest Federal logo will now appear when you login.

What changes will I see in Mobile Banking?
Your User ID and password will remain the same. The look, feel, and functionality within the app will remain the same. Please delete your existing mobile app and download the NWFCU Mobile Banking App. Once the Northwest Federal App installation has been completed, you will have the same access and control of your accounts.

I have a checking account with the Credit Union, am I still able to use my checks?
Yes, our routing and transit number and your account number remain the same. You may continue to use your current supply of checks. When you reorder, the Northwest Federal logo will be automatically updated.

Will I have to order new checks?
Not at this time. You may continue to use your current supply of checks. When you are ready to reorder, the Northwest Federal logo will be automatically updated.

I order my checks through a private vendor and they do not have the Northwest Federal logo, will you still accept these?
Yes. However, when you place your next reorder, you will need to update the logo to Northwest Federal. We’ll be happy to help you work with your check supplier.

I have an IRA account with the Credit Union, what will happen to the money I have saved in this account?
There will be no impact on your IRA Account. Your deposits will continue to earn the same dividend rate and continue to be federally insured to at least $250,000.

Will I still be able to maintain my Dues Savings accounts? Yes.

I just mailed a check made payable to the Credit Union. Will this still be honored?
Yes, your check will still be honored and posted to your account per your instructions.

I’m in the process of applying for a mortgage with the Credit Union; will I need to start the process over again?
The status of your loan application will not be interrupted and you will continue to work with the same mortgage representative.

Who do I contact when I need assistance?
Northwest Federal Credit Union will continue to provide you with the same quality service you are accustomed to. We're here for you when you need us.

Where do I mail deposits and loan payments to?
The mailing address remains the same, simply update the addressee:

I have an official check from the Credit Union that I have not deposited or cashed, will this check still be honored at my other financial institution?
Yes, you may still deposit or cash the check you received form the credit union.

I have payments deducted automatically from my account. These are set up with other businesses. Will this be a problem?
Your automatic transactions will continue to post normally. You will not be required to change information with your accounts. When it’s convenient for you, please update the name of the financial institution to Northwest Federal.

Will this change affect my credit?
No. Combining our divisions under the Northwest Federal brand will not affect your credit score. Your credit will continue to be reported to the three major credit bureaus under the Northwest Federal name.

I have received a formal letter from the Credit Union on its letterhead, is this still a valid letter? Examples: Letter stating my loan is paid in full, letter requesting more information to complete an application, etc.
Yes, formal notices you have received prior to this date are still in effect.
