Enrollment Requirement: To participate in this promotion and be eligible for a bonus, you must apply for membership and open a Membership Savings account and Choice Checking account through the promotion landing page at https://accounts.nwfcu.org/nwfcu/oa/default.aspx?key=PATRIOT or use promo code PATRIOT during account opening. Bonus available for qualifying accounts opened November 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027. Available to George Mason University community members (including current students, faculty and staff, alumni, and parents of current students) that are 18 years of age or older and whose accounts are in good standing at the time all qualifications are met, as determined by Northwest Federal.
To earn a $50 bonus, you must receive at least $50 in deposits that post and settle to your Choice Checking account within 30 days of account opening. The $50 deposit must be funded with “new money”. “New money” means funds not currently on deposit with Northwest and does not include transfers between accounts held at Northwest. The required $50 may be met through multiple deposit transactions; a single $50 deposit is not required. The Choice Checking account must have an available balance of at least $50 on the 30th calendar day after account opening. Once all requirements have been met, the bonus will be deposited into the checking account on or before the last day of the calendar month following the month of successful completion of all promotion requirements. The account must remain open through the date the bonus is deposited.
