George Mason University
NWFCU is the Official Financial Wellness Partner of George Mason Athletics and the Official Banking Partner of the Patriot Collective, the university’s Name/Image/Likeness (NIL) Fund. This partnership includes:
- Hosting on-campus community events, financial wellness workshops and seminars throughout the year
- Collaboration on GMU’s Patriot Pathways program, meeting with incoming freshmen and outgoing seniors to discuss financial wellness as a collegiate athlete and NIL for freshmen, and financial wellness post-college for the seniors
- The ability for all students and faculty to establish NWFCU membership through attending/working at the university
George Washington University
As an Official Partner of George Washington University Athletics, NWFCU’s partnership with the Revolutionaries includes:
- Hosting presentations and workshops for all GWU athletics teams and their staff, focused on financial wellness, NIL and more
- Sponsoring community events and on-campus events and drives, such as the GW Women’s Lacrosse food drive and the GW Block Party
- NWFCU giveaways and in-game promotions at GWU athletic events
- The ability for all student athletes and faculty to establish NWFCU membership through attending/working at the university
Marymount University
We are also a proud Partner and Platinum Sponsor of Marymount University, and this relationship enables us to:
- Host “Lunch & Learn” events at Marymount’s College of Business, Innovation, Learning & Technology (BILT) in Ballston
- Launch a co-op program with the university, giving students the opportunity to work part-time at NWFCU for a full year while they continue their education at Marymount
- Participate in Marymount’s college fairs and orientation events
- Offer NWFCU membership to all students and faculty through attending/working at the university
NW RISE
New Member Bonus Disclosure
To qualify for a $100 bonus, you must be a currently enrolled George Mason University, Marymount University, or George Washington University student, 18 years of age or older at the time all qualifications are met, in good account standing, complete five (5) one-on one financial coaching sessions online or in person with a Northwest Federal Credit Union Member Service Representative (MSR) and open your first-ever membership account with Northwest. The Northwest membership account must be opened after enrolling in the first financial coaching session and within thirty (30) calendar days after completing the fifth and final financial coaching session. Applications for membership may be submitted online or in-person. Limited time offer. Northwest reserves the right to modify or terminate this promotion at any time without notice. Eligibility subject to verification by Northwest. Participation in the financial coaching program is available regardless of membership status. However, individuals who do not open a new membership account within the time requirements set forth above are not eligible to receive the $100 bonus. The bonus will be deposited into the Primary Savings account within thirty (30) days after all eligibility requirements have been completed and verified by Northwest. The account must remain open through the date the bonus is deposited. Membership eligibility required. Member responsible for possible tax implications.
