As one of 40 honorees in his category, this achievement reflects Bentley’s impact that goes beyond Northwest and the credit union movement, and extends to the financial industry and state at large.

Impact like this is only possible because of talented employees, strong partnerships, and a shared commitment that drives our organization forward every day. I am grateful to work alongside a team that is dedicated to serving our members, supporting our communities, and improving lives throughout Virginia.”
Bentley was highlighted for his role in Northwest’s member, asset, and lending portfolio growth, as well as the innovative partnerships Bentley has overseen with the Washington Commanders and most recently an expanded partnership with George Mason University focused on its new men’s and women’s basketball teams name, image, and likeness (NIL) agreement to help young athletes and their peers to make sound financial decisions.
As an active leader with The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates, Bentley serves in various roles including Chair of the Audit & Investment Committee and Treasurer of the Credit Union Impact Foundation Board of Trustees among others. He also serves on the boards of the Washington Commanders Foundation, Committee for Dulles, Credit Union Miracle Day, and the Science Museum of Virginia Board of Trustees demonstrating his investment in giving back across the region.
Overall, Bentley’s leadership has helped strengthen Northwest’s position as one of Virginia’s largest credit unions and drive Northwest’s continued success both in assisting its members and making a difference in the community.
