Overview

The Mortgage Loan Officer originates high-quality residential mortgages and equity loan applications by fostering partnerships with internal and external referral sources, as well as utilizing the existing pool of Credit Union members. The Mortgage Loan Officer will originate loans by assisting members in our contact center, handling inbound calls, making outbound calls to leads, and maintaining a strong network of business relationships that consistently generates referrals for new mortgage lending opportunities.

The Loss Mitigation Specialist is responsible for processing and resolving credit disputes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely handling. This role also supports key functions such as payment processing, charge-off account administration, and assisting members through the Financial Needs Committee process. The position plays an important role in maintaining account integrity, supporting collections efforts, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Overview

The Collections Team oversee's the critical and time-sensitive effort of settling delinquent loans or negative accounts while helping the credit union mitigate financial losses. In the role as a Collections Specialist, team members recover past due payments on auto loans, credit cards, signature loans, lines of credit and negative savings accounts. This role also includes the ability to be able to negotiate with members as well as work to find alternative payment solutions in order to keep delinquency low in order to mitigate loss.

The Member Service Representatives facilitate member service transactions and support services to positively impact member experience, sales and service expectations. A key component of this service to external members is to ensure each employee identifies members’ financial needs and suggests appropriate Credit Union solutions.

This position involves travel between branch locations and our Herndon, VA headquarters and requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph.

The Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) is responsible for managing the facilitation of member service transactions and support services to positively impact member experience, sales and service expectations. This role will provide direction and leadership by supervising, training and assuring quality control over all activities of the Member Service Representatives. This role also oversees the daily branch operations and is accountable for profitability, internal controls, and work processed. The ABM is responsible for managing the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.

The Branch Manager is responsible for managing the facilitation of member service transactions and support services to positively impact member experience, sales and service expectations. In addition, the Branch Manager serves as a community extension of Northwest and is responsible for providing information on Northwest’s financial products and services in order to increase engagement and awareness of the Northwest brand. The Branch Manager is also responsible for the overall management of the branch and ensuring that branch employees facilitate member service transactions and which will positively impact member experience, sales and service expectations.

The Software Developer is an IT Systems Integration role focused on developing, supporting, and maintaining custom applications and integrated services across the credit union. The role emphasizes software development, business process automation, integration services, and cloud-based solutions, with a secondary focus on contributing to agentic AI development initiatives. Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and supporting custom solutions that ensure the integrity, quality, and availability of software and services. This role covers the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, planning, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The role may also assist with designing, integrating, testing, and supporting AI-enabled automation solutions that use large language models, structured prompts, approved tool integrations, APIs, workflow orchestration, and appropriate human oversight. The role supports organizational efficiency by automating business processes, delivering new capabilities using modern platforms when appropriate, and reducing operational risk through frequent, automated releases and testing.
